The Free
by JaySmilez Alle Mon I want to be free, free like the birds and the wind, But first I must acknowledge that it is within me that freedom begins. Free in the sense of breaking loose, Letting the true me take over as I embrace my roots. Free as in, living life at no cost, Counting my blessings while I appreciate my loss. Free, being able to simply express my thoughts, My feelings, my highs and my lows, Not having to worry about what others think or if they will try to impose On my freedom, freedom of speech, freedom of expression, Being me with everything I have, for no one I shall make no exception. Free and being confident enough to follow my own direction. I say free, free to stand on my own Not being afraid to face the world alone. Free to make my own decisions, not being afraid of who may judge, Free to accept the way life is; free to understand that it is yourself first that you should love. Free like the word itself, only four letters but powerful as can be, Free with no restrictions; just want to be free to face my own life predictions I need no constriction in my life, for being free is being me. Freedom is within, no one can take that away. They can still your privacy, but they may never still your faith, your heart, your confidence & hope. Misery may cloud ones everyday, but they can never touch or steal the faith inside of me, my heart, my inner light.
